Paramus is the retail capital of the region, built around the intersection of Routes 4 and 17 with an extraordinary concentration of malls, big-box stores, showrooms and the service and warehouse buildings that supply them. Behind all of it are quiet residential streets of 1950s and 1960s ranches and split-levels on generous lots.
Paramus is our commercial-scheduling town. Loading-dock doors, warehouse roll-ups and service-bay doors here run dozens of cycles a day and cannot be taken out of service during trading hours — so a great deal of our Paramus work happens overnight or before opening, by arrangement, with the parts already on the truck. Those doors need commercial-rated springs, high-cycle hardware and commercial operators, not residential parts asked to do a commercial job. The residential side of town is a different and much simpler matter: consistent 1950s and 60s attached garages with builder hardware now well past its cycles.

We run north on Route 17 into Paramus at both ends of the clock — overnight for the retail and dock doors, ordinary daytime hours for the residential streets. Commercial work here is scheduled to the store's calendar rather than ours.
